Facility Coding
RTIs facility coding package ensures
consistency and compliance in the hospital emergency room, along with accurate revenue
generation.
RTIs facility coding consists of three core
services:
Facility (Acuity Level) Coding assigns
the technical component code to describe ED services, based on patient acuity, nursing and
physician documentation, ED time, and ancillary utilization. The facility code will be
billed on patients seen by private physicians as well as ED physicians.
ICDM-9-CM Diagnosis Codes are
used to their highest level of specificity to ensure appropriate payment of services, with
RTI assigning the ICD-9-CM diagnoses needed for UB-92 billing.
ICDM-9-CM Procedural Codes are
also used to their highest level of specificity to ensure appropriate payment of services,
dependent upon payor type.
In addition to improved accuracy and revenue
generation, Facility Coding clients will receive various reports analyzing facility
activity and productivity in detail.
